What the Inspection Covers

An EICR is not a visual check. A qualified engineer systematically tests the property’s fixed wiring, distribution boards, socket outlets, earthing arrangements and bonding connections, looking for deterioration, damage or deviation from current standards. Each finding is coded by urgency — from immediate danger requiring action before the property is re-let, through to observations that should be monitored over time.
